Something to consider when events like this happen and we are wondering if the guy deserves defending, or if he is just using us.
We don’t need to know all the details of how perfect his record is, because we are not defending an individual as much as we are defending an individual right.

Another thing to keep in mind, many of these situations will, presumably, develop because of some ex-, who will make claims of how she was abused, etc. “And he abused me, and he killed animals, and he likes guns, and I was aaaffffrrraaaiiidddd.” Sure you are. Com’on, guys, how many of you consider the word of an ex- to hold any water?

If the police are trying to take someone’s hardware, and we can verify that point, it seems that’s all that is necessary. The man’s level of perfection, or level of dirtbaggery, is irrelevant. If law enforcement is attempting to disarm someone, as opposed to arrest them for some crime, that’s all we need to know–pack the hardware, head to the destination, and don’t back down.
