First attempt at electro-etching my son\\\’s lower receiver. This setup has failed the leak test twice now and we may abandon the popsicle sticks + hot glue, and use polymer clay to create a well to retain the electrolyte (table salt and water, with a dash of vinegar) We did some tests on old computer CPU heatsinks with the Q-Tip method and while it did etch the aluminum (greater than 0.003\\\”), I\\\’m worried the etching would not be even across the flag design.

I’m deff gonna hafto check this out in more detail on YouTube.. I paid to have one of mine done. But I don’t know the process they used. I’ll post a pic 2morro.
